I love the Korean community in Bloomington for a lot of reasons, but number 1 is the increased demand for good Korean food.
Authentic Korean dishes, and a lovely staff make eating here a great experience.
I very much suggest the spicy squid. -

My cousin and I were craving some good ramen and such, so we gave this place a try. Definitely enjoyed it! Very authentic feel. We had the spring rolls for an appetizer. My cousin ordered a beef hot bowl dish and I ordered veggie tofu ramen. They bring you a bunch of extra side dishes in between to try! The sweet potatoes were my favorite. Very attentive waitresses, would definitely return.

I had lunch here on a Sunday and when we arrived around 1PM only one table was filled which made me a little worried, but by 2PM all tables were filled and the place was hopping!
Since this was my first visit here, I kept it basic and went with bibimbap with beef. It was quite good! The rice was crispy along the sides of the bowl, the beef was flavorful, the vegetables were fresh, and the egg was nicely cooked; the yolk was still nice and soft. The chili sauce provided in a squeeze bottle was excellent.
The soup and sides/condiments that came with our lunches were tasty as well. I also enjoyed a mug of hot barley tea which wasn't on the menu, but when I asked about hot tea, this was the option available. I think they should officially add it to the menu.
Service was good and easy parking is available right down the street in the 4th street garage. -

Still a solid spot in town to get Korean food! I appreciate how flexible they were as I wanted budae chigae (army stew) but it was clearly a huge portion to share because of the greater than $20 pricing. So, I asked if I could get the kimchi chigae but add the processed meats and ramen! Win! It was only a few dollars extra.
Dinner started with miso soup and AYCE banchan (small dishes).
We also ordered the tteokbokki appetizer (spicy rice cake). This one was just okay. The sauce was too much like general tso's chicken - sweet and cornstarchy.

This is a nice Korean restaurant on the stretch of 4th Street where all the ethnic restaurants are. If you've had Korean food before, you'll recognize a lot of the flavors. This restaurant doesn't blaze any new culinary trails, but is pretty reliable.
If the weather permits, sit outside and enjoy the welcoming patio.
